Pop-Up Meditation Rooms

It’s Monday. You’re at work. It’s noisy. You’re tense. You work in an open-office environment where sound reverberates off every chair, table and desk. Today, you’re not in the mood. What if, in the middle of your office, there was a pop-up meditation space, a “room” where you could wander in anytime and sink into a cozy chair and, for a few minutes, just breathe.

Let’s build one, virtually. Here goes…

We’ll start with accordion-like soft walls and prop them up. We’ll connect a few to give us some space and extend one wall at the entrance to create a short hall so you snake your way in to your quiet retreat. No doors needed, but you still get the privacy. The walls are translucent so you’re bathed in a soft light but have no glare. Since the walls are flexible, you can haul in a chair and ottoman before or after set-up. Bring in an LED luminary and a plant for ambience and texture and noise-cancelling headphones to further mute the sound or to chill with relaxing nature sounds. Kick back, and enjoy.

If you don’t have the space or desire to renovate a room, or just need the flexibility to move one around, pop-ups are the way to go. And the options for these guys are endless!
